Our school's Workplace Learning Dept is continually growing and being given many student requests daily. I would like to ask students and parents if they can be patient. We have many students we are currently trying to place. If a student or parent approach/contact our department to set up work experience or a school-based traineeship/apprenticeship please be aware your request may not be respoonded to that day, although we will look into it within 2-3 days. On another note: Many year 9 students have asked when they can do work experience or school-based traineeships/apprenticeships. It is much more beneficil to them to wait until Year 10, when the whole cohort goes out for a week in June. The major reason for this is that many employers have requested older students, as they are consider students in Year 9 may not have grown mature enough to cope with working. A year can make a big difference regarding growing-up and maturity levels. Please click here to download further information on school-based traineeships.
