Tamborine Mountain State High School Sports Excellence Program
Program Overview
Tamborine Mountain State High School Sports Excellence Program provides a sport development program for male and female athletes Year 7 to 12 students across three different sports (Football, Netball and Basketball). The program was created to deliver our student-athletes the opportunity to develop their chosen sporting ability to an elite level. Through the guidance of our experienced staff and coaches, students are supported for balancing both academic and sporting career goals.
Selection Procedure
Applicants are required to trial in their sport. Please see below for upcoming application closing dates, trial dates, times and venues as they become available.
Acceptance into the program
Students who are successful in the trials will be offered a position in the Program via a letter home. A fee, additional to the 'Student Resource Scheme', is payable upon acceptance into the program and in each subsequent year that the student is part of the program. These funds are used to provide additional resources and enhancement exclusively for students within the program. Such funds provide greater resources/equipment for the development of the program.

Trials for Soccer Excellence Program – TMSHS Main Oval 3:30-4:45pm
21 August 2023 – Junior Boys (Year 7-8, 2024)
22 August 2023 – Junior (Year 7-9, 2024) & Senior Girls (Year 10-12, 2024)
24 August 2023 – Intermediate (Year 9-10, 2024) & Senior Boys (Year 11-12, 2024)

Fees
Sport Excellence Programs will require a fee and will vary depending on the chosen sport. Once your child has been selected into the program, an invoice will be sent home.
Uniforms
Sport Excellence Programs require a specific Uniform. Invoices with prices will be sent out once the selection process has been completed.
